December

Wow - how time flies! I honestly cannot believe that it is the middle of December already. It has been a very busy month in 2F. Students have been working so hard amidst practicing for the Christmas concert. You are in for quite the treat! So many hands have been working so hard and the production this year is super cute! Mrs. Greene and her crew have done such a great job!

In Language Arts, we just completed a mini-book study on the series of books by Phoebe Gilman, Jillian Jiggs. The students enjoyed reading about all of her adventures and seeing what she got up to building or creating. To end the unit - students made their own pig that they named and wrote about before taking it home. We had our last spelling test of the year until we come back in January!
For the rest of the month, we will be working on reading comprehension activities as well as Christmas-themed writing and reading activities.

In Science, we have wrapped up our Small Flying and Crawling Animals unit and have begun looking at Magnetism. So far, students have learned that there are many different types of magnets and that some magnets are stronger than others! I think they will enjoy some of the hands-on activities that are yet to come.

Happy December 14th! Only 11 days until Christmas!
